Bush Craft

Bushcraft is  really an extension of survival skills. It has probably gained in popularity due to Ray Mears and his bushcraft and survival television programmes. Bushcraft is about gaining skills to survive and thrive thrive in the natural world. Bushcraft includes – foraging for food, lighting fires, recognising tracks, building shelters, using knives and axes, carving wood, rope making, and much more. Modern bushcraft is more than simply learning new skills it is also concerned with understanding the natural world, its flora and fauna and the way these elements interact i.e sustainability.

Pembrokeshire is the perfect backdrop for bushcraft activities – learn how to survive in the outdoors, forage for food, and kindle a fire… You can get out exploring in woodlands and the coast and discover how our ancestors built thriving communities here on the far Western tip of Wales….
