Codes of Conduct

When adventuring in the outdoors, both as groups and individuals we can make a real difference by trying to leave places cleaner than they were when we arrived. Where possible take any litter you find (as well as your own!) home with you, and make sure that you respect wildlife. Be particularly aware of the potential to disturb wildlife during the nesting / breeding season.
As a rough guide you can expect birds to be nesting between March and July inclusive, whilst seals will be pupping on most secluded beaches around Pembrokeshire from the beginning of September to the end of November. For detailed maps of seal hotspots and seabird colonies which have agreed acess restricitions see links to marine code (right).
Outdoor Charter Members have agreed to:
- We will show consideration for landowners
and residents and to other users of the area.
- We will liaise closely with the National Park
Authority and with landowners over the use of sites and the
organisation of activities.
- We will abide by countryside access legislation
and by local agreements.
- We will try to avoid damage to sites and disturbance
to wildlife.
- We will help develop the Pembrokeshire Outdoor
Charter and will encourage others to adopt it.
- As part of our leadership, we will seek to
encourage clients to develop a respect for the landscape of
Pembrokeshire, its wildlife and people.
