Description

The site lies within the Lydstep Head to Tenby Burrows Site of Special Scientific Interest. The area is of special interest for its sea-cliff vegetation and for its numerous rare and scarce plants, including five nationally area species.
The carboniferous limestone cliffs include many caves, arches, blowholes and crevices.
Climbing is popular along the cliffs.
The coast path must not be obstructed with belay ropes or other equipment.
Belays must never be attached to fence posts.
Permission from the land owner must be sought before putting in permanent belay fixtures.
Anyone canoeing off Tenby South beach should be aware that there may be strong currents in certain weather/tidal conditions. For information contact the coast guard.
