Codes of Conduct (Welsh)
Most of today’s activities have associated codes of conduct
to be followed by participant involved in particular activities.
These codes are often developed through the work of National Governing
Bodies such as the RYA and BCU and give a basis for acceptable
behaviour and highlight general issues related to the activity
to be considered.. Other organisations such as the Maritime Coastguard
Agency have developed safety codes and codes of good practice
for a range of activities.
Within Pembrokeshire there are also a number of Codes of conduct
that relate directly to activities and the environments of Pembrokeshire.
These codes cover activities such as cycling, climbing, canoeing
and others. They are specific to Pembrokeshire addressing local
issues concerns and agreements and have been developed to minimise
the local impacts.
Before taking part in outdoor recreation check if there are any
national/general codes of conduct to be followed and more importantly
local codes. After all they are there for a reason. You are also
encouraged to adopt the Outdoor Charter code of conduct in Pembrokeshire.
By following the agreed actions you will ensure you help preserve
the areas and will also have access to information important to
your activity. Most of all by following the Charter and advice
given by member organisations you are less likely to commit an
offence under any of the existing wildlife protection legislation
such as the Wildlife Act and the CROW Act.
The Outdoor Charter Members agree:

relevant governing body’s guidelines.
