Pembrokeshire Marine Code
The Marine Code protects the amazing marine flora and fauna for which Pembrokeshire is renowned through voluntary codes of conduct and seasonal agreed access restrictions. Managed by Pembrokeshire Coastal Forum the Marine Code was developed by local operators and other organisations working closely with the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority, RSPB, Wildlife Trust and Natural Resources Wales.
Pembrokeshire Coasteering Concordat
A single access agreement has been introduced for commercial coasteering activity providers using National Trust venues on the Pembrokeshire coast. The agreement – a Coasteering Concordat – aims to provide support to high quality, sustainable and long term commercial adventurous activities. Pembrokeshire Coastal Forum were commissioned by the National Trust to produce the Concordat and implement the agreement from March 2015 onwards.
Wales Activity Mapping
Wales Activity Mapping (WAM) is a collaborative stakeholder project developed and managed by Pembrokeshire Coastal Forum. WAM provides detailed information on a range of marine and coastal activity which is displayed in a GIS system. The information is used by multiple agencies as an evidence base for coastal decision making and planning.
Recreational Audit for Disabled Access
The Recreational Audit for Disabled Access (RADA) is being undertaken in order to work toward removing barriers for those with disabilities from visiting outdoor recreational sites and experiencing recreational activity. The project aims to improve recreational opportunities for disabled people by identifying where barriers exist, exploring potential solutions to those barriers and providing an economic evaluation of those potential options.
Wales Adventure Tourism Organisation
WATO is a national forum established to link existing outdoor sector organisations in Wales’ three National Parks, with the aim of sharing best practice across the outdoor sector in Wales. The Wales Activity Tourism Organisation (WATO) functions regionally through Pembrokeshire Outdoor Charter Group, Snowdonia-Active and South Wales Outdoor Activity Providers Group.
